– I love my job!
– I taught Kindergarten at Denton Elementary School from 1976-2011
– I love children’s books

I retired from teaching Kindergarten on July 1, 2011. Friends questioned me about what I was going to do now that I was retired. My response was, “God will provide something as I am not sitting at home.” In July the preschool’s assistant job became open and then the teacher’s job. So in September 2011 I met my first class of preschoolers. Kindergarten had truly been my love and passion but preschool replaced that quickly. I love the preschoolers and their families. Preschool is truly God sent!

I am a retired social studies teacher and educational consultant.  My vocal lessons began in the third grade, and I have been singing ever since!  At the age of twelve, I joined the Central UMC Choir.  In 1988 I became the choir director.  It is an absolute blessing to work with our dedicated choir members and musicians as we endeavor to witness to the glory of God through music.
