The Youth Christmas Play, An Unplugged Christmas, will be held December 17 at 5:30 p.m. in the Sanctuary at Central United Methodist Church at 5:30 p.m.  All are invited to experience the true meaning of Christmas through our youth.  Come and bring a friend.

The United Methodist Women need packaged desserts for the Open Hands Ministry for the 3rd Monday of each month.  There is a blue bin in the downstairs kitchen for donations.

The Annual Christmas Eve Service will be held in Central UMC's Sanctuary, and will begin at 11:00 p.m.

A brief training session will be held following the 11:00 church service on Sunday, January 21.  Acolytes (and their parents) and Cross Bearers are asked to meet in the sanctuary with Beth Ligon and Margaret Harris.

A free seminar on church security will be offer on Sunday, January 21, at 3:00 p.m. at the Southern Theater and Event Center in Denton.  All clergy and laity who are interested in learning about security and safety at our church are encouraged to attend.

The church trustees will meet on Wednesday, January 24, 2018, at 6:00 p.m. in the Church Fellowship Hall.

A meeting of the CUMC Administrative Council Meeting will be held on January 28 following church at 12:30 p.m. in the church hut.  Lunch will be served.  All are invited to attend.

A one-day church retreat will be held at Mt. Shepherd Retreat Center in Asheboro, NC, on Saturday, February 10.  All are invited to attend to help determine where God is leading our church.  The Retreat Center's address is 1045 Mount Shepherd Road Ext., Asheboro, NC.  More detail to follow.

Join us as celebrate Scout Sunday, February 11, at 11:00 a.m.  We are proud to be Denton's chartering church for all three scouting programs:  Girl Scouts, Cub Scouts, and Boy Scouts.  The scouts from all three programs will be participating in the 11:00 worship service.                     […]
