Worship Service this Sunday will include congregational and choir singing of some of the "old time" favorite hymns, and will include a special recognition.  

The Uwharrie District will offer a Lay Servant Training Class on Worship Leadership on Sundays, January 19 and 26, 2020, from 3:00 p.m. until 5:00 p.m.  The course will be taught by Rev. Bill Roberts at First UMC in Norwood, NC.  You can register online at uwharriedistrict.org.

Central UMC's Administrative Council will meet on Sunday, February 2, 2020, at 12:15 p.m. in the Youth Room of the church hut.  All church members are invited to attend.

The Uwharrie District will offer a Lay Servant Training Class on United Methodist Heritage each Wednesday in February - February 5, 12, 19, and 26, 2020, from 6:30 p.m. until 8:30 p.m.  The class will be taught by Rev. A Lay Servant Training Class will be conducted on  Advanced Church Polity on February 16, February 23, and March 1, 2020.  The classes will be held at New London UMC, 206 S. Main Street, New London, NC, from 3:00 until 5:00 p.m.  It will be taught by Rev. Jim Pyatt and the cost is $30.

At the United Methodist Church General Conference held in May 2020 will discuss and make a decision on the issues gay clergy and gay marriage.  To prepare for their decision Central will meet on Sunday, February 23, 2020, from 3-5 p.m. to discuss the issue from the perspectives of Scripture, Tradition, Reason and Experience.  Please […]
