Central UMC Denton

  Central United Methodist Church Choir practices every Wednesday night from 6:30 p.m until 8:00 p.m.  New members are encouraged to join - all are welcome.  

Central UMC has a Preschool Program for three and four year olds.  It meets on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays from 8:00 am until 11:30 am.  If you are interested or have questions, please contact the church office at 336-859-3502.      

Central UMC's Food Pantry is open every Tuesday and Thursday morning from 8:30 until 12:00 for "Sharing God's Abundance" to those in our community.   Look for signs leading to the church entrance.  One food bag is available per family once a week.

There will be a Good Friday Cross Walk beginning at 12:00 noon on Friday, April 15.  It will begin at First United Methodist Church in Denton and end at Harrison Park. The walk symbolizes the steps Jesus took on his way to Calvary, and participants are invited to take turns carrying the cross so they […]

A Good Friday Worship Service will be held at Central United Methodist Church on Good Friday, April 15, at 7:30 p.m.  This service will involve stripping the altar, which symbolizes the abandonment of Jesus by his disciples and the stripping of Jesus by the soldiers before his crucifixion.    

An Easter Sunday Sunrise Service will be held at 7:00 a.m. at the Denton Town Cemetery.    

Conrad Harrold’s Sunday School Class and Margaret Harris’ Sunday School Class are now meeting at 10 a.m. each Sunday morning … all are welcomed!
