Central UMC Denton

The United Methodist Women meet the first Tuesday of each month at 6:00 p.m. in the Hut.  This community of ladies is instrumental in the work of church mission projects, plus they find time to have fun. All women are welcome - please come join us.    

Central UMC has a Preschool Program for three and four year olds.  It meets on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays from 8:00 am until 11:30 am.  If you are interested or have questions, please contact the church office at 336-859-3502.      

There is an 12:00 noon service followed by a soup and sandwich lunch each Wednesdays during Lent.  This is sponsored by the Missional Network Churches, and is held at First UMC in Denton.  The book used as a basis for these worship services is by Rev. Central UMC's Food Pantry is open every Tuesday and Thursday morning from 8:30 until 12:00 for "Sharing God's Abundance" to those in our community.   Look for signs leading to the church entrance.  One food bag is available per family once a week.    

A Easter Eggstravaganza will be held at Harrison Park in downtown Denton on Saturday, April 9, 2022, from 12:00 noon until 2:00.  There will be activities and games, including a cake walk sponsored by Central UMC.  Prizes, books, and prepackaged desserts are needed for the cake walk - they can be dropped off at the […]

Conrad Harrold’s Sunday School Class and Margaret Harris’ Sunday School Class are now meeting at 10 a.m. each Sunday morning … all are welcomed!  

The Palm Sunday Worship Service will begin at 11:00 a.m.and will include the Palming of the Cross. Palm Sunday falls on the Sunday before Easter and commemorates Jesus' triumphal entry into Jerusalem.  It marks the first day of Holy Week.  

Children’s Worship is held each Sunday in the lower level of the church.  All children from kindergarten thru third grade are welcome for a time of stories, activities, games, and crafts.  

Youth Group Meetings are held each Sunday evening in the church hut from 6:00 pm until 7:00 pm.
