The Uwharrie District will offer Lay Servant Training Classes on Spiritual Gifts.  The on-line classes will be taught by Rev. Laura Auten, our District Superintendent, and will be held on Wednesdays, October 2, 9, and 16, from 6:30 - 8:30 p.m.  You can register for these classes at  uwharriedistrict.org.

A community blood drive will be held at Central United Methodist Church Hut on Monday, October 7, 2019, from 2:00 until 6:30 p.m.  The blood drive will be held in honor of Sidney Garner.  Please plan to give blood if you are able.  The drive is sponsored by the Central United Methodist Women.  

The Uwharrie District will offer a Lay Servant Training Class on Preaching on Saturday, October 12, 2019, from 9:00 a.m. until 12:00 noon.  The class will be taught by Rev. Aldana Allen and it will be held at Providence UMC in Salisbury, NC.  You can register online at uwharriedistrict.org.

The Uwharrie District will offer a Lay Servant Training Class - "The Basic Course" - on Sundays, October 13 and 27 and November 3, 10, and 17, 2019, from 2:00 until 4:00 p.m.  The course will be taught by Reverend Richard Blount at Central UMC in Denton.  You can register online at uwharriedistrict.org.

An AA Group meets at First United Methodist Church (376 S. Main Street, Denton) each Thursday night at 7:30 p.m.  The meetings focus on the first three steps.  Enter through the lower level door on left end of the building off the parking lot behind the church.
