All information for the July and August Newsletter needs to be in the church office by June 28.

There will be no July meeting of the United Methodist Women.  Hope to see you at our August meeting - August 6 at 7:00 p.m. - in the UMW Room at CUMC.  

There will be a Administrative Council Meeting following worship on Sunday, August 4, 2019, at 12:15 p.m.  It will be held in the Youth Room in the Hut.  All church members are invited to attend.  

The Furr Family Band will present a free Gospel Concert at Pleasant Grove United Methodist Church on Sunday, August 4, 2019, at 6:00 p.m.  The concert is sponsored through the South Davidson Missional Network, and donations received will go to help local Davidson County Schools and youth.  The church is located at 8138 E. A Disciple II Bible Study Class is held weekly on Tuesday evenings from 6:30 until 9:00 p.m. in Central United Methodist Church Youth Room in the church hut.  

Central United Methodist Church will have its annual Homecoming August 25, 2019.  Reverend Joe Collins, former pastor at Central, will be the guest speaker and a covered dish lunch will follow the service.  The service begins at 11:00 a.m.  Come out and see old friends, meet new ones, and enjoy this special time of fellowship. The 2019 Confirmation Class meets weekly on Sunday evenings from 6:00 until 7:30 p.m. in the Youth Room.  Class members include youth from Central and First/Canaan United Methodist Churches.  Together they are learning more about Christ and how to live and grow in Christian faith and love.      

There will be a Community Dinner Cookout at the Denton Farmers Market in downtown Denton on Monday, September 2, 2019.  The rain location will be Central UMC Hut.  The dinner is open to all of the community so invite your friends, neighbors, strangers!! CHECK BACK LATER FOR FURTHER DETAILS.
