Central UMC Denton

There will be a Central Church Retreat on Saturday, March 30, 2019, from 10:00 a.m. until 2:00 p.m. in the church hut.  It is important for ALL committee member to attend!  We will be setting goals and planning ahead.

The next meeting of the Church Council will be held on Sunday, April 7, 2019, at 12:15 p.m. in the Youth Room of the Church Hut.

There will be a Maundy Thursday Communion Service at noon on Thursday, April 18, 2019, at Central United Methodist Church.  Rev. Dennis Sheppard will deliver the message.  A soup and sandwich lunch will follow.  Please join us for the meaningful Holy Week Service.        

There will be a Good Friday Cross Walk held at noon on Good Friday, April 19, 2019 beginning at noon. Please check back for details.

There will be an Easter Sunrise Service beginning at 7:00 a.m. at the Denton Town Cemetery.  Come join us and begin your Easter morning with this joyous service.      

The Annual Church Easter Egg Hunt will be held on Easter Sunday, April 21, from 9:45 - 10:30 on Central's church grounds.  Needed are plastic eggs filled with prizes or candy.  Please drop off at the church - either downstairs or in the church office - prior to Easter Sunday.  And don't forget to bring […]

Come join us Easter Sunday to celebrate our risen Christ.  We will flower the cross so please bring flowers if you have any in your yard.  Communion will be served, and wonderful Easter music shared.  The service begins at 11:00 am.    

Mark you calendars for the next United Methodist Women and Men's BBQ Fundraiser.  It will be held on Saturday, April 27, 2019, and serving begins at 4:00 pm.  Take outs are available.  Volunteers and desserts will be needed.  Spread the word and join us for this event!
