There is a noon service followed by a soup and sandwich lunch Wednesdays during Lent.  This is sponsored by the South Davidson UMC Missional Network Churches, and is held at First UMC in Denton.  Reverend Richard Blount will deliver the message on March 4 based on “Verify I Say, Thou Shall be in Paradise.”

All proceeds received during these services will go to provide food for those in need in Denton and Silver Valley.  The Second Harvest food bank is offering enough food boxes to feed 75 people for a month for $700.  The goal is to raise enough money through our collections to provide food for 75 people in the Denton area and 75 people in Silver Valley.
