DESCRIPTION:The South Davidson Missional Network is sponsoring a Back to School Bash on Saturday\, August 20\, 2022\, from 2:00 until 4:00 p.m.  The event will be held at Harrison Park in downtown Denton and the community is invited. \n  \n \n  \nCentral UMC will sponsor a Cake Walk and the following donations are needed:  prepackaged cookies\, prepackaged snack cakes\, small bags of hard candy\, individual one-serving bags or prepackaged salty snacks (chips\, Lance Crackers\, Gold Fish\, etc.). \nAll churches will be collecting supplies for our local schools\, and our Cake Walk will include school supplies from Central.  Items needed are:  composition books\, multiple subject folders\, binders (1 & 2 inch)\, color markers/pencils\, crayons (24 count)\, dry erase markers\, subject dividers\, glue sticks\, highlighters\, pink block erasers\, cap erasers\, pencils/pens zipper pouches\, #2 pencils\, blunt tip scissors\, sticky notes (3 x 3)\, tissues\, wipes\, Ziploc Bags (quart & gallon)\, paper towels.  NO loose leaf paper please. \nPlease bring items to church on Sunday\, August 7 or 14\, or you can drop them off at the office during the week. \nIn-kind donations can be made to the South Davidson Missional Network.

SUMMARY:Free Shrove Tuesday Community Pancake Supper
DESCRIPTION:The Missional Network Churches will have the annual Shrove Tuesday Community Pancake Supper on Tuesday\, March 1\, from 4:30-6:30 p.m.  The meal is drive-by only. It will be hosted at Central UMC (276 West First Street\, Denton) by volunteers from the Central UMC Sharing God’s Abundance Team as well as volunteers from the Missional Network churches.  Pancakes and all the trimmings will be included in each take-out meal.  There will also be free food bags from the CUMC Food Pantry for those who need this assistance.  Enter the CUMC back parking lot off of Bingham Street and proceed to the Fellowship Hut where volunteers will greet you and bring the meals to your car. \n \n
